Dr. Sheehan grew up in New York and Connecticut and attended the University of Connecticut. He received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic near Chicago in 1986.
While exploring the Northwest he fell in love with Oregon at first sight. He first practiced in Sheridan Oregon near Salem for 21/2 years, and moved his practice to the Rogue Valley in 1989. Dr. Sheehan practiced with Dr. Marc Heller in Ashland for 21/2 years before opening a solo office in Medford, where he continues to practice. In August of 2007 Dr. Sheehan opened a second office, in Ashland. He continues to maintain both offices.
To keep current, Matt studies numerous post-graduate advancements in chiropractic techniques on a regular basis, and has been a member of a local “manual medicine” study group for the last decade.
In community service, Matt donates chiropractic care to members and staff of the Northwest Seasonal Workers Association. He is the founder of the Jackson County Sustainability Network, contributing time to improving our community. Matt has been very involved with “Boys To Men”, an international boys mentoring program.
Matt loves southern Oregon, spending time skiing, dancing, hiking, weightlifting, running, attending Britt concerts, backpacking, biking, rafting and reading . He also has a strong passion for organic gardening and maintains a community garden in Ashland, where he lives.
